As someone who lives in the immediate vicinity to this proposed project, I am strongly against having a biosolids storage facility open to the elements for a number of reasons:

1. This facility will decrease the value of my property and investment capital due to foul smelling odors that will arise from uncovered human feces being stored close by.

2. The chance for environmental contamination by human feces is extremely high. This proposed facility is located entirely too close to the Sydenham River. The potential for serious contamination of river and well water poses unsafe health risks for the environment and residents living nearby this proposed facility. Almost all residents in the vicinity of this proposed facility are on well water. Contaminated well water is a serious concern to residents and businesses in the area. I currently run a beef operation and am concerned for the health and safety of my livestock as well as my family if this project gets approved as is.

3. A serious review and modification of the site plan in order to make it safer and less invasive to current residents in the area would seem only fair after consulting with said residents.

4. A thorough environmental risk assessment needs to be completed before this project is even considered for approval.

I and many other residents in the area are concerned for the economic impacts this proposed project will have on our businesses and families. We are also extremely concerned for our health and safety. What impacts would this have on your community if the same project was proposed there without enough proper research and due diligence involved in the site plan? Please consider that when reaching a decision on this very controversial project.
