We are submitting another comment on this proposal.

Since we have not got a response regarding invasive species in our zone (zone 4) we assume that there is and never has been an issue here that we do not have a problem with this. We are not sure why the MNRF is restricting everything to do with live bait here. We're sure that southern Ontario & possibly Rainy River may have some issues so implement your proposal in these areas and not ours. We have been using live bait here for decades. Are you predicting that we'll have a problem in the future? If so we need solid proof of this!

Your imaginary boundary lines for parks & protected areas are very unclear to say the least. Our understanding is that we can not use live bait on the down river side but yet fifty feet up river we can use live bait. This is a bit since less as the bait from up river will follow the current down river to the restricted area. Hello!

Our business will suffer along with many outfitters & commercial bait dealers in the area as thousands of fisherman have been using live bait for decades most of which will not return if they can not use live bait. They will simply go to another resort where there are no restrictions. This will put many of us out business and will devastate our local economy.

Our final thoughts on this ridiculous proposal is that you leave zone 4 as it has been for many years.
