Bike lanes are a critical part of Toronto’s infrastructure and an important part of reducing traffic throughout the city. As both a driver and a cyclist we should be building more bike lanes not reducing them. We should also continue to improve public transit. The congestion on our roads is impacted by the lack of viable alternatives and removing the alternatives that do exist will only make it worse. We need to encourage less driving in the city. Also, it is a complete waste of tax dollars to remove existing bike lanes.
