I oppose the proposal because it does not directly address the problem of gridlock on the roads in Toronto, which is more likely the result of an inefficient public transit system. Targeting bike lanes is a bandaid solution to the traffic problem and cyclists are being unfairly compromised. Can we consider cyclists’s conscious efforts to resolve the vehicle traffic problem by cycling to work??
