We need an effective method of drastically reducing GHG production and its pollution of Earth's atmosphere. We have one, the 2016 cap and trade agreement. It seems to be working, but not nearly fast enough. It is reckless of the government to repeal the existing system before much thought has been given to the next attempt. The minister will be required cook up some new regulations that will solve all the problems. What might these regulations look like? When will they be in force? Unless the government can come up with a better system very quickly, it would be better to leave the cap and trade in place.
