I voted PC in this election on the hopes of lower bills for myself. I am glad wasteful programs are being phased out. I sure hope the premier eases the restrictions on Greenbelt to allow more housing, which as i recall is completely under the Province's jurisdiction. However, campaigning with Jason Kenney and co on the platform of fighting the carbon tax is extremely disconcerting. I and many other Provincial Conservatives are not in favor of the Province engaging in combative federalism challenging the Federal Government. The era of cooperative federalism should not be ruined by irrelevant lawsuits which waste taxpayer money. If the Ontario government engages in such silly tactics of opposing the National Government on every issue, it makes one wonder if the party i voted for is only trying to score cheap political points. I advise the Province to keep out of Federal issues and not to align with it's federal conservative counterparts to sow discord. As a pan Canadian Nationalist and a fiscal conservative who respects the jurisdictions of the two orders of the Government, i hope saner counsel prevails than waste our tax dollars in frivolous lawsuits against the federal government.
