I agree that the GEA was wrong to override municipalities (because it provoked hostile feelings among the public), but please, do not let this be an abandonment of renewable energy. We may have an energy surplus, but we need to shift some percentage of our current energy sources from non-renewables to renewables. Do not make solar and wind companies run away from Ontario-- instead, develop a long-term energy plan that makes greater shifts to green energy than in the current LTEP. It is NOT impossible and NOT against Ontarians' best interests. It is your responsibility as government.
