Bike infrastructure is essential to building an transportation network that serves everyone in the community. Actively removing existing infrastructure that endangers the lives of cyclists in the name of convenience for automobiles is a backward form of thinking that doesn't have a place in 2024. Multimodal ridership will never increase if the infrastructure to support safe and active mobility doesn't exist, and the province should not have as much of an influence on implementation supported by the local community.
