This reckless proposal to eliminate bike lanes in Toronto will not only waste taxpayer’s money, but it will endanger cyclists’ lives. I am a cyclist, pedestrian, and I own and drive a car. The current bicycle infrastructure is helping grow more confident cyclists, and more cyclists mean less cars on the road, easing congestion. This is a common sense approach. Do not remove current bike lanes and eliminate choices in getting around the city. That would be going backwards. It’s also showing a blatant disregard for cyclists’ lives.
