I live in the NWT and have visited Toronto a few times. Every time I visit, I move around the city using public transit or bicycle. Closing or removing bike lanes will discourage tourism and force more people into cars, therefore increasing congestion rather than reducing it. I will be less likely to visit Toronto, or anywhere in Ontario for that matter, if this legislation goes through.
