Instead of spending money removing bike infrastructure (which reduces the number of cars on the roads), why doesn't the government invest MORE in bike infrastructure, thus further reducing the number of cars required on the roads as more people have the less expensive option to safely ride a bicycle around Toronto.
If reducing gridlock is really the solution, then install more traffic calming lights at bottlenecks to reduce the number of cars getting on major roads and highways.
