"Just one more lane" logic, based on zero data. How can this government claim to be fiscally conservative while ripping up infrastructure that was just built? Infrastructure that literally facilitates every single Torontonian to be more fiscally conservative - not spending a bunch of money on driving everywhere.
This is a terrible idea and is very clearly pandering to suburbanites who haven't gotten the memo that the only way to meaningfully reduce car congestion across the GTA is to reduce the number of cars on the road (ie. transit and bike lanes so people who don't actually want to drive aren't forced to).
