Bike infrastructure is essential infrastructure, that is not only good for us but also for our environment.
The safety of people should be a priority when designing such infrastructure.
I drive and I would rather see vulnerable road users such as those riding bikes and motorized wheelchairs in their own infrastructure that separates their lane from mine.
In residential streets, I would rather see more kids than cars on the street.
An increase in bike infrastructure and public transit would mean we will see a reduction in the amount of cars on the road.
A reduction in the amount of cars on the road, reduces congestion and an actually improves the conditions of the road.
And by the way, the provincial government should not be interfering with local governments looking to improve their cities.
