As a Toronto resident and parent, I strongly oppose any legislation that would allow the dismantling of bike lanes in our city. These lanes have transformed the way my children can navigate Toronto, providing a safe and accessible route for them to get around on their bikes. Without these dedicated lanes, my kids and many others would lose the freedom to travel safely, something that should be prioritized in any growing city. Removing bike lanes would be a step backward, compromising the safety and independence that these lanes offer families and children across Toronto.
