Water is the basis of life, not something to be taken by some to be sold for profit, making a few rich. No one knows for certain how much water is available underground. Yes there may be enough today and then all of a sudden not enough to supply the population in the area for more than a couple years...then what? There is no need for bottled water. Reusable bottles, and water purifying systems can be used all around the world. People need to stop being so lazy and take water with them. We also need to stop the plastic bottle litter, which bottled water facilitates. People would not throw their refillable bottle on the ground or out the car window! Laziness creates an opportunity for the big convenience food and beverage companies to buy into their service and then we end up with convenience replacing responsibility, respect, care and common sense. We save time, spend more money, create more trash and litter our land and water. Plastic is killing the planet. Bottled water isn't the only plastic we need to get rid of now, but it's a great place to start!
