its quite simple - thousands of Torontonians use bike lanes every day to commute to and from work, perform essential work (last mile delivery workers) and other key members of the community. Removing bike lanes will make streets unsafe, lead to more injuries and cause more congestion as those cyclists will have to find other means to travel safety in the city. Not to mention, bikers and e-bikers bring the cleanest form of travel available anywhere, powered by clean battery tech or human energy. Its absolutely a nonsensical idea to remove bike lanes that benefit so many people every day in this great city.
