Dear Mr. Romic
It is counter-intuitive to dismantle the White Pines Wind Project near Milford in light of the recent IPCC report that outlines the risks to all life on Earth with global warming at 1.5 degrees Celsius. The contract with the White Pines Wind Project should be honoured and not cancelled, as once it is completed, it will generate clean energy that does not add greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and would displace emissions from another polluting generating facility.
I was one of three hundred people who visited Turbine 9 at the White Pines Wind Project and we marvelled at the simplicity of this kind of energy generation. Wind turbines will not pollute the air and contribute to global warming - the largest crisis that we face. I urge you to honour the contract with WPD and let the White Pines Wind Project proceed.
