There is no need to add in potential harmful and sweeping power to the provincial government in this bill which would remove Canadians ability to fight to keep their land and their property safe under the current Expropriation Act. "A provision prohibits registered owners form applying under the expropriations act for the adjustment of the date of possession for land that was expropriated by the Minister for the purposes of priority highway project." If government needs property then they should be able to make a strong case for uprooting Canadians lives and families. And Canadians should have legal Avenue to contest that loss under the existing structure of the law. This is highly unnecessary and a overreach of government powers.
