It concerns me that the provincial government is politicizing the use of bicycle lanes and hopping aboard the “us versus them” (cars vs. bicycles) bandwagon to garner support from frustrated city drivers. Remember the cyclists most likely also have or drive cars. They have just chosen to make the bicycle a solution to the grid lock for themselves. We should be encouraging that behaviour not catering to more cars which will only make the congestion worse. The province has no business taking over the ability of municipal governments to choose solutions that are supported by the people that elected them.
