Bike lanes are important. The more people who feel safe riding a bike in the city, the fewer cars will be causing congestion so people who need to drive are unable to get where they're going. It's better for the environment to facilitate non-polluting forms of transportation. It's also good for businesses along bike lanes. It's often easy to park a bike when a shop catches your eye. Bike lanes, like sidewalks, and parks and trees, are an integral part of liveable cities. Please protect the ones we have and build more.
