Having municipalities apply to an appointment, member of Parliament in order to have bicycle lanes approved is mountains of red tape that doesn’t need to happen.
Not everyone has the privilege of driving a car due to health reasons, age, or financial challenges.
For some people, riding a bicycle is more affordable than all other options.
For other people, it could be a way to squeeze in exercise during their day, which would cut on healthcare costs.
I understand that research shows that cutting bike lanes does not reduce congestion.
Bill 212 must be scrapped because of the above reasons.
