I am not sure why this is happening. The city needs bike lanes for memebers of our community to move around the city in a safe way. As a driver - I appricate when bike lanes are on the road and I do not need to share the lane with bikers. The amount of money to remove them is crazy! This money could be used in so many other ways to support our community.
