6 cyclists have died in Toronto in 2024 alone - five on roads with no bike lanes, and one when a dumpster was blocking a bike lane and force the cyclist into a lane with car traffic. Removing bike lanes would likely increase the number of dead cyclists - what is the acceptable number of deaths to justify "easing traffic gridlock"?
