I strongly oppose removing bike lanes in Toronto and Ontario. Toronto needs more bike lanes, not fewer, if it wants to retain its status as a world-class city. The last time I was on Bloor, I saw countless people of all ages and backgrounds using the bike lanes. They were contributing to congestion reduction — imagine how much more traffic there would have been if they were in cars instead! Reducing motor vehicle lanes makes it easier to cross the street as a pedestrian as well, which helps support local businesses.
