Building highways faster over-rides the municipalities who have made certain decisions appropriate for their jurisdictions. This is not democratic, and may lead to serious mistakes. The province should not be trampling thoughtlessly over the decisions of the local government who have the best knowledge of local conditions.

Hastening the expropriation of properties without appeal puts a large burden on home owners to scramble to find new homes, especially in today's difficult housing market
