I will not be putting a poop bag on my horse, that would be ridiculous and unsafe for me and others. If a low branch grabs the bag and smacks the horse against the bottom, all hell would break loose. That’s a very unsafe rule for the rider and anyone else on the trail.
If you’re concerned with organic waste on the trail, what a waste of everyone’s time and energy. What you should be concerned about is the litter from the cyclists and walkers that throw empty cans and wrappers on the trails of the park. They are everywhere. Not only that, during the spring thaw I never see hoof prints on the trails, but every day I see bike treads. So who is really harming the park? Is it organic horse waste that feeds nitrogen to the earth, or is it litter and erosion from cyclists and walkers?? If you don’t see the obvious answer, you should not be part of this decision making process.
