I am commenting on the proposed interim combined sewer at 955 lakeshore (Ontario place). I strongly oppose this proposal. It is a rushed decision that goes against the wellbeing of the environment and the people of Toronto. This combined sewer will negatively impact the lake, the biodiversity of the sea life, and a place where people like to swim. This goes against decades of work in Toronto to replace combined sewers and make the lake a safe place to swim with less sewer runoff. We need to consider the safety and health of the people of Toronto and our wildlife habitats. This is an abomination and only benefits the private company pursuing this land at Ontario place, and disregards the wants and needs of the public. We need to do better for our water quality, safety of the people, and fight to alleviate biodiversity loss.
