I cannot overstate how opposed I am to the idea of combined sewer overflows to be constructed at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West. Are we really saying that it’s fine for our lakeshore residents and for those that use the west lake to be literally swimming in filth?

Rerouting literal sewage so that it’s CLOSER to your residential area, in order to make a European-owned spa for RICH PEOPLE seem nicer, is not a reasonable proposal for work like this. There has been zero evidence provided as to why the sewage outflow has to be moved to where people already swim, walk, and live. This only serves to pollute and damage one of our Great Lakes, something our government is meant to protect. Aren’t we supposed to make tourists and locals want to spend time at these destinations? Why would anyone want to go hang out near a sewer?

This is a proposal that benefits Therme, a foreign private group, and nobody else. That the government is even proposing this solution is completely shameful.
