There is not enough information here to make an informed decision. CSOs have been an ongoing issue for Lake Ontario's water quality, particular at the outflow point. How would construction of a new CSO pipeline affect local water quality? How will affect the terrestrial zone of construction? Why is this new pipeline necessary? Does it do anything to improve waste management and water quality for Torontonians? Without more information, this proposal seems like another shady move by the Ford government to push through a project that has been formally criticized by the Auditor General for failing to be "fair, transparent or accountable" and for failing to fulfill best-practices for "large-scale, modern land-use development projects." Submitted a few sentences on December 27 amidst holiday closures and celebrations is certainly not transparent. This proposal should not be approved.
