I am writing this comment in direct opposition of the proposal to allow an interim combined sewer to support development at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard (Ontario Place). There have been decades of work to clean Lake Ontario and it's still an ongoing process. Making an exception for a private luxury spa development that does not, in any way, advance the public well-being of Torontonians is irresponsible. Untreated sewer is a danger for all lifes that rely on Lake Ontario, including humans, and goes against international agreements to protect clean water. This proposal is unnecessary and dangerous, and there's no reason for the rush to get approval without proper public consultation.
