With the rise of homelessness and the city population I believe the development of 1,314 affordable units, alongside 564 market units, will contribute to meeting the city's housing demands and help alleviate the ongoing housing crisis. The proposed location, near Lawrence Avenue West and Black Creek Drive, is a strategic site that can support high-density development and improve access to essential amenities and transit.
In addition, a lot of families live in old water-damaged buildings and sometimes even pest-infested homes and are looking for a new affordable apartment in the same area where they grew up. it's important to provide families living in these conditions homes they so urgently need, so that they don't stay in their moldy aprtments and continue to have their health affected.
