Oh HECK no you shouldn't remove the environmental assessment needed! This is 1km from the town and the people fought so hard to get this implemented beause its LITERALLY 1km from their town, river, schools and homes!!!

Its on a floodplain right next to Molly's Creek that runs into the Sydenham River which is home to MANY endangered critters/wildlife!

Who in their right mind would think this is okay?? To not look into the dangers this certainly would pose?!

The people have spoken REPEATEDLY that there is issues with wellwater, methane and the risks the high traffic increase of truvks this facility would pose (tomato harvest alone is hard enough to ensure the farmers safely make it in to deliver/school buses run those roads).

Not to mention the Sydenham flows through many communities nearby, Walpole Island included, so if any leachate leaked (and a point has been made that it cannot be treated locally/it would have to be treated elsewhere)...It would be detrimental to our environment.

Do the right thing, allow the assessment because the skirting of it not only when York1 first tried not to, now this...Is not how these things should be done.

If the town is unwilling/can see the risks, it is the responsible...If not ethical thing to do an Environmental Assessment to look into it properly.
