Absolutely opposed. The government should not be able to remove protected species from the list without justification from existing conservation bodies. Furthermore, reducing the protected areas to 'immediately surrounding areas' around known dens is not sufficient protection for wildlife and could most certainly be manipulated to push through development projects that have been currently struggling with the original Endangered Species Act. Permit systems are important in this context, and eliminating them only makes it easier for habitat destruction and harassment of wildlife to occur.
None of these amendments do anything but weaken the previous act and further endanger our wildlife.
Leave the 2007 Endangered Species Act alone!
