There is a good reason it is time consuming to evaluate any project's impact on the environment and especially on endangered species. It feels like a core part of Canadian values to be good stewards of this land, and to reduce any existing protections on our environment could be detrimental to future generations. Further, this land was originally cared for with indigenous communities before white people colonized the land. Indigenous values would also align with increased protection for the environment we live in, not reduced protection. Ontario needs to remember it's roots and maintain what is beautiful and good about this place. Do not reduce policies and acts that protect our land, if anything they should be increased in thoroughness to better protect it.
