As a young person who wants to have children and give you more money in your economy, it’s hard to justify even living myself, let alone getting married and having children. What’s the point? When our land and animals aren’t protected it really gives us a look inside to see what your government really cares about. Money. For yourselves. Not for us. Every act that lessens protections on endangered species lessens protections on us. It makes it easier for developers to pave over protected wetlands and sensitive areas-which much to everyone’s dismay, DOES A JOB. Wetlands, grasslands and forests protects us from floods, which costs Ontario millions of dollars of taxpayer money every year. Now that there are less wetlands, more flooding happens. People are displaced. Taxes and insurance rates go UP. Just. look. It. Up. Google it. They protect us from fires and other catastrophic events. Every time I open my phone I see another act trying to get passed that will ruin the future for me, my children and my grandchildren. There will be nothing left for them or me when you’re gone. There won’t be anything left for you! Think about all the money you’d be getting from them when they start paying taxes, and buying things. But they won’t be there, because you made Ontario a place where nothing grows. Forget “good things grow in Ontario.” Nothing will grow here. You say you care about the people. You don’t. You never have. Listen to us. We didn’t ask for this.
