We need more protections for endangered species, not less. We can meet our housing needs by increasing density and building intelligently. Development should not get a free pass at destroying our irreplaceable natural heritage just in the name of speed --- acts like the Endagered Species Act are critical for protecting Canadian interests and land from profit-driven companies that may do irreparable harm. If the goal really is to help people get their needs met in terms of housing, etc. then take a look at zoning laws. This proposal seems to be catering to private/corporate interests over real people and land. Please reconsider this proposal and ensure stronger protections for endangered species.
