Localized overpopulation of these birds has caused considerable harm to both the aquatic ecosystem with some local fish populations remaining stressed since there reestablishment. They are a biohazard concern of air and water quality for uses such as swimming and drinking and washing for residents near overcrowded nesting colonies. Bravo. This should have been done decades ago already as it was done in New Brunswick and other jurisdictions.
