This project is still a danger to an ecologically sensitive area of Ontario and needs to be properly vetted and not just pushed through under the guise of being worried about American tariffs. Toronto's trash should not be deposited in small towns because its convenient. We are the little guy fighting against a large corporation with little to know help from the government. Do the right thing and continue the assessment. No one here wants what they are proposing and it now seems like it is to be pushed down our throats. We need to know the Government of Ontario will protect communities from corporations trying to push through their agendas at the expense of the people who actually live in these communities. If you wouldn't want this in your backyard why would we ? and if the president of york1 wouldn't want this in their community then again why should we have to shoulder the burden of pollution and increased noise, infrastructure cost, truck traffic, lower property values etc for what benefit to us ? A couple of more then likely low paying jobs, probably staffed by tempory foreign workers ?
