This letter is in opposition of the recent decision to remove the requirement of an Environmental Assessment at the proposed Dresden landfill site.
This opposition is of great importance to protect our Sydenham river,Molly’s creek to Mitchell’s Bay and Lake St Clair, our wildlife,farming community and the citizens of our community.
The proposed landfill is within one km of our town and the effects of the toxic waste and exposure to asbestos will be deadly.
To the Minister of Environment Conservation and Parks Todd McCarthy who states that building an Ontario of tomorrow that protects the environment- how are you going to protect our community from the dust,noise,danger if 700 trucks on our roads and especially
Deadly asbestos exposure.
Doug Fords interview last year with CDC Windsor he stated that “I believe in the people, when people like something we do it, if the don’t we don’t do it “
We don’t like it and don’t want it.
If this waste is not generated from this community so therefore should not be brought here to our community.
