As a resident of Chatham…

As a resident of Chatham Kent with family residing in Dresden, I am appalled that the government is considering approval on this proposal. The location of the proposed dump is far too close to town, to schools and to the Sydenham river. Surely there must be other sites to consider which would not be so detrimental to the health and wellbeing of this small community. There has not been any due diligence required to determine the health risks or the impact to property values. This proposal is not supported by the community with good reason and should not go forward as is.
