The changes proposed here represent a gross and uncalled-for risk to the life and wellbeing of endangered species in Ontario. To move forward with this would not only massively reduce the protections offered to these endangered species, it would necessarily represent an embarrassing and ridiculous misinterpretation of the electorate's will. The Provincial Government of Ontario's duty is towards the betterment of all life, for all, including those whose paws or claws prevent voting. These changes run counter to this goal and may further lead to runoff ecological collapses in all fauna and flora in Ontario. The people, and by extension the government, are meant to be responsible stewards of the land. This proposal spits on that promise.
