This is an ill-conceived proposal that is lacking an environmental assessment and sends a terrible message on protecting biodiversity in Ontario. Fish-eating birds are not our enemy. Using the same rational will loons and ospreys be next on your list? To have a hunting season during the breeding season sends the wrong message. Killing birds purely for sport and not for food is both illegal and immoral. You are doing a disservice to conservation, biodiversity and the world around us.
