Removing the ability for the government to safeguard biodiversity leaves it unmanaged and easily exploited. This bill will take us back decades, to a time when environmental conservation was an after thought. The bill is authoritarian, undemocractic in nature, and an insult to every Ontarian. We need biodiversity for all of our health and wealth, while this bill will destroy it for the sake of the rich mine and resource owners. We can have industry, and should have industry, but only when it’s kept in check by a robust EA act, and when endangered species are cared for.
