This legislation will destroy fragile habitats and is nothing more than a transparent gift to Doug Ford's developer buddies, and yet another attempt to snatch away and develop the Greenbelt.
Destroying our fragile natural resources is not economically sound policy. The short-term profits would be reaped only by the already-rich, and the long-term costs would fall upon the rest of us, while irreplaceable habitats and species are forever lost.
