The proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act is an extraordinary step backwards for Ontario. This province is home to species at risk that can only be found here and these changes undermine their protection as a means for "economic growth". Protection of habitat is vital for both species at risk and our natural heritage, which provides us with ecological services that are irreplaceable. I implore you to rebuke these changes and fight for our natural environment, while keeping developing in city centers that have already displaced wildlife. Further urban sprawl will not improve our economic situation.
