I am writing to strongly oppose the proposed changes to Ontario's Endangered Species Act. I believe these changes will severely harm Ontario's at-risk species and their habitats, and undermine our efforts to protect biodiversity. The Endangered Species Act is crucial for identifying and protecting species at risk, and weakening its protections will have devastating consequences. The changes would allow developers to proceed with projects that destroy the habitats of endangered species, leading to further decline and potentially extinction. The benefits of strong species protection are numerous, including healthy ecosystems and a more sustainable future for all Ontarians. I urge the government to reconsider these changes and instead strengthen the Act to ensure the survival of Ontario's vulnerable species.
