I am wholeheartedly against the removal of protections for species at risk and their habitat to enable quick approvals for mining or industry in Ontario. As a citizen of this province I urge you to increase protections for species, enhance and restore habitat, and make decisions through the lens of a biodiversity crisis and climate crisis. Please remember that the PC party won 40% of the vote and left-leaning parties, Lib, NDP, Green collectively won 54% of the vote. So your party does not have a 'mandate' to trample on species at risk. Please scrap Bill 5. Thank you.
