There is an overabundance of cormorants in Ontario. The population can handle a managed harvest. We managed the overabundance of white-tailed deer in the past (using hunting) to reduce automobile/deer impacts. This reduced the deer population to sustainable levels. Cormorants are impacting water quality and fish populations. Time to harvest them!
