I am pleased with the proposed bill and hope it will help with finally letting real productivity grow for Ontarians. I believe that our economy is sorely held back by our own excessive regulations.

My primary hope for this bill is that it will aid in lowering development costs across urban areas. At a time when we already have sky high housing costs and tariffs on the horizon threatening to make the bottom fall off our economy, I do not see how certain trivial municipal building codes help us more than they hurt us.

Ontario having special economic zones in urban centres and the ring of fire would be a gigantic step forward economically. I am keen to see this bill pass.
