The circumstances requiring the environmental assessment have not changed, so the question remains why the direction to assess the risks have been quietly changed.

The abundance of water, agricultural land and natural resources in this area are robustly defended by all the communities in that area and will continue to be so.

Government should consider its first duty to protect its communities and when actions are taken without transparency, trust and confidence quickly dissipates.
